The dye markets are mostly dominated by Reactive and Disperse dyes, and India leads in the production of Reactive dyes due to an availability of vital dye intermediates like vinyl sulphone and H.Acid in the country. The dyestuff and dye intermediate sector, one of the core chemical industries in India, is made up of about 2,000 small and medium scale units and a few large organized units. The states of Maharashtra and Gujarat in the western region of India account for 90% of dyestuff production in India due to the availability of raw materials and dominance of textile industry in these regions. Barring the large and organized players, there is a general lack of marketing strength amongst the small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Thus are inadequately represented in the international arena, and hence find it difficult to realize their full potential.
Therefore “Bahaar International” is working as a platform where Small and Medium Enterprises can showcase their products and be represented in the international arena.
